Desvelando a vivência da amamentação para mulher sob a luz da fraternidade

Abstract

The objective of this study was to understand the woman's experience with breastfeeding process in the light of brotherhood. Method: This is a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach, held in January 2016 in basic health units in Caruaru-PE. 14 women who were between the 1st and 4th month of exclusive breastfeeding or mixed were interviewed; and women in the period of up to four months after birth, who experienced at some point, the breastfeeding. For data collection, interview was conducted after approval by the Ethics Committee in the opinion 1,311,369 and after consent of the woman. The thematic content analysis proposed by Bardin was used for data analysis, which emerged the following thematic categories: "Difficulties experienced by women during breastfeeding" and "Recognizing the benefits of breastfeeding for the child." Results: The difficulties identified in women's lines were pain, breast problems, difficulty grip on the nipple anatomy and prematurity, time spent breastfeeding and returning to work. Another point noted was the recognition of the good breast milk is for the child's health. Conclusion: We conclude that women have varying difficulty and that they understand the benefit of this practice is for the child. It notes the need for support and cooperation to women at this stage, and an awareness of them in the good of breastfeeding for all involved. So when you understand the woman's experience with breastfeeding, you can see with another look at the main difficulties faced and allows to know the reasons that led the woman to not breastfeed or stop the process. Discuss these issues from the perspective of fraternity as a political principle of health, the revolutionary inherent in this type of practice potential, can put in a highly advantageous and solid tune all involved in the chain of attention to the overall health of the human being.
