Abstract

The health in Brazil has undergone major changes, starting from the DECADE 90, with a creation of the Federal Constitution of 1988 and Law 8,080/90 CREATED Health System, BEEN regulated tendon At Decree 7,508/11, one of the strategies to care model was the Health Family Program How Mechanism reorienting of Health Public System Actions later, created the Support Center for Family Health leading to a variety of health professionals in primary care among professionals working in the core, it is the physiotherapist, that when you have shares in this segment there is a significant improvement in quality lives of people in the community in which it operates. However, the population and physical therapy professionals themselves still prioritize action and intervention at the tertiary level, where the primary level should be the main target of action of these professionals. The main objective of this study is to analyze the description of physical therapist practice in Primary Care and Family Health Strategy through literature narrative review. Methodology: The study consisted of a review of descriptive literature, noting the level of attention that physical therapy has in primary care, between the years 2005 to 2015. We analyzed scientific databases BIREME, SciELO and PUBMED, and found a total of 223 related studies during the period of this review. Of these, only 20 met the established selection criteria, and it was seen that, both by students and users (patients), but also by the therapists themselves, have been doubts about what the objectives of the physiotherapist in the Program health and Family health Strategy, but also noted that there are differences in the analyzed literature.
